When you install the TripleTriangle folder and start InDesign, it will automatically contact a TripleTriangle server which will register your license usage.description

Licenses are tracked using a cryptographic hash of a machine identifer. We do not send any sensitive information about your machine or network to our server.

Because licenses are tracked by machine identifier, your total license count will be equal to the total number of machines where you have installed the software. Using multiple versions of the software on a single machine, or having multiple users on a single machine, will not increase your license count.

If a machine is inactive for 30 days, it will automatically fall of the active list. Consequently, most sites never need to think about the licenses unless they are running slightly past the limit of their license count.
